Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. (CMJTS) is a nonprofit employment and training agency and a proud partner in the Minnesota CareerForce System and American Job Center Network.

CMJTS has been passionate about providing quality training and job placement services to our customers in Central Minnesota. Throughout our 11-county region, jobseekers—adults, youth, entry-level, career-changers, low-income, and dislocated workers—count on us for professional career guidance based on their circumstances, economic self-sufficiency needs, and local labor market demands. Businesses count on us for qualified workers to fill their jobs.

CMJTS serves Central Minnesota, including Chisago, Isanti, Kanabec, Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker, Mille Lacs, Pine, Renville, Sherburne, and Wright counties.

CMJTS provides leadership in building a skilled workforce—workers who can do today’s jobs and learn tomorrow’s jobs. Through career counseling, job training, and strong business relationships, CMJTS helps entry-level to experienced workers—youth to older workers—train for and gain meaningful employment. Some of our programs available to jobseekers include:

• Young and Emerging Adults – Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. (CMJTS) is a private, nonprofit organization that provides leadership in building a skilled workforce—workers who can do the jobs of today and learn the jobs of tomorrow. Through career counseling, job training, and strong business relationships, CMJTS helps prepare young adults for career pathways and the world of work that leads to meaningful employment. With 13 offices across mostly rural areas, our goal is to assist youth overcome barriers to employment and economic disparities. Through an individualized approach, these services include: work-based learning opportunities, career exploration and job search assistance/guidance, and provision of labor market information, including information on high-opportunity careers, career success skills development activities, financial literacy training, dropout recovery services, occupational skills training, and entrepreneur development.
• Dislocated Workers – Losing your job can be a scary experience affecting both confidence and a sense of security. You don’t have to do this alone! With over 30 years of experience serving jobseekers and dislocated workers in Minnesota, we can help. CMJTS specializes in individualized and professional career guidance, training assistance, and job placement. Let us help you get back to work in a job that is right for you!
• Adult Services – The WIOA (Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act) Adult Program is available to help unemployed or underemployed individuals find meaningful, family-sustaining work. The Adult Program includes a priority of service for public assistance recipients and other low-income individuals and individuals who are basic skills deficient. Also, veterans are a priority population as a result of the Jobs for Veterans Act of 2002.
• Public Assistance Recipients – The CMJTS Public Assistance Program is designed to help those facing unemployment and poverty to overcome different challenges. CMJTS employment specialists help participants with employment plan development, career exploration, identifying strengths, determining training needs, referring to community programs and services, and evaluating and overcoming challenges to obtain long-term employment and self-sufficiency.

CMJTS also works directly with area businesses and helping local employers find, retain, and train talent.

Services for Businesses include connecting businesses with qualified workers, providing access to employee training, offering opportunities to connect with human resource professionals, and providing links for businesses to state, federal, and local resources.

CMJTS employs skilled staff that work across multiple programs to find the provide a variety of services. Some of those additional services include:

• Ticket to Work – If you are a social security disability beneficiary between the ages of 18-64, you can assign your ticket to an Employment Network. By assigning your ticket, you will receive free employment services to help identify if working is right for you. We're here to help you with your goals.
